This high-quality, American made tool is only 3/8" thick and has a 2-1/2" usable "reach" (meaning the center of the 1/4-28 threads to the center line of the chucking spindle is 2-1/2", the overall length is 3.2")  Uses industry standard 1/4-28 threaded drill bits.  Unlike some models on the market, you can install threaded drill bits from the bottom or you can use a reversible drill and install from the top side to access really hard-to-reach areas.  Industry standard 1/4" chucking shank. Overall height of the chucking spindle end of the tool is 2-1/8".
